Milkbar is a friendly, locally-owned cafe and workshop space situated in the centre of Launceston, Tasmania. Milkbar provides a cosy, vintage-inspired space to enjoy a relaxing coffee or organic tea, locally made sweets, and fresh salads & rolls. No unnecessary packaging and preservatives here - we make our salads and sandwiches fresh every morning, making use of local produce as much as possible.
Our workshop space is host to a wide range of workshops and stocked with an ever changing range of books, kits, and alternative making supplies (such as Colette Patterns, recycled yarn, and bamboo hooks + needles). Check out the Workshops page to find out more.
The team at Milkbar love a bit of retro, luckily their obsession with 'old-school' also includes good old-fashioned service and a passion for real food - just like your grandma! That's why your milkshakes and coffees will be made with local organic milk, and we always try to buy our produce in-season, from local farmers.
